Public Works Minister, Syrian expatriates discuss investments in reconstruction process

Damascus, SANA- Public Works and Housing Minister Hussein Arnous discussed on Tuesday with members of the Syrian expatriates’ delegation (Warsaw Gathering) cooperation and means of benefitting from their experiences, efforts and investments in the fields of reconstruction and rebuilding.

Arnous pointed out that the crisis Syria is currently coming through and the long, terrorist  war waged on it caused destruction of many residential areas and service buildings after displacing their residents, a matter which requires securing the residential needs of those locals in the coming stage.

The minister called for mobilizing all the necessary efforts, competencies, capabilities and funds to contribute to the reconstruction process, especially the operations of the rapid rehabilitation for the residential buildings.

Arnous affirmed that the funds of the Syrians whether they are inside or outside Syria have the priority to be invested in those fields during the next period, pointing out that there are safe areas in which the factories could be built, especially in the industrial cities.

He voiced the ministry’s readiness to cooperate and coordinate with the investors in those fields and providing all the necessary facilities including buying the products of the said factories.

For his part, the delegation’s Head Nabeel al-Malazi asserted that the delegation’s visit came to communicate with the sons of the homeland in the ordeal which Syria is coming through, to stand by the Syrians and meet their needs and contribute to the reconstruction process.

The delegation’s members stressed that several expatriates have the will to establish joint companies in the investment field, a matter which requires securing the necessary legitimate environment, providing the facilities and removing the obstacles.
