Rio de Janeiro, SANA- The G20 states stressed support for establishing an independent Palestinian state and put an end to the war waged against Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
“We support the ceasefire in Gaza in regard with UN Security Council Resolution No.2735, as well in Lebanon to enable citizens to safely return their houses,” G20 leaders was quoted by Agence France-Presse(AFP) as saying in a joint statement at the final of the summit held in Rio de Janeiro.
In their statement, the leaders expressed deep concern over the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza and Lebanon, underlining the urgent need to provide humanitarian aid and ensure the protection of civilians there.
They stressed their steadfast commitment to international law and relevant UN resolutions, according to the statement.
