Three drug pushers arrested in Damascus, 21 kg of Hashish seized

Damascus, SANA- Interior Ministry’s Drugs Combating Department arrested three drug pushers and seized 21 kg of Hashish inside hidden caches in their car.

The Department said the pushers were arrested  in Damascus on Wednesday, adding that they were using a “Van H1” vehicle for hiding Hashis.

On June 2nd, eight drug pushers were arrested in Damascus and its countryside and over 13 kg of Hashish and 1.049 Captagon tablets were seized, in addition to a light machine gun and a pistol in their possession.

Syria is a signatory to all the international conventions relating to drugs control and combating, including the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961 and the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988.
