Damascus Countryside, SANA – The Syrian Satellite T.V Channel reporter Karim al-Shibani was injured Sunday when terrorists targeted with a shell reporters who were covering the army operations against terrorist organizations in Damascus Countryside.
SANA reporter who was among a group of reporters in eastern Ghouta at the time said that terrorists fired a shell towards reporters. Al-Shibani sustained wounds to the leg and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Reporters have been repeated targets of terrorist organizations since the start of the crisis in an attempt to block the truth about events in Syria.
Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi, who visited al-Shibani in the hospital, said targeting the Syrian journalists won’t discourage them from their mission in confronting the terrorist war targeting their country.
Al-Shibani, for his part, vowed to continue to perform his mission undaunted by the attacks of terrorists.
