Damascus, SANA- A solidarity stand was organized in front of the United Nations headquarters in Damascus, to demand the release of the Palestinian prisoner Walid Daqqa and to organize periodic visits for dozens of sick prisoners, especially those suffering from serious diseases in the Israeli occupation prisons.
In a message addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the participants called for intervention and pressure, using all legal and political methods and means granted to him, to release captive Walid Daqqa, 61 years old, who suffers from spinal cord cancer diagnosed last December, and developed from leukemia that he was diagnosed in 2015, and reached dangerous stages that led to the removal of part of his right lung, in addition to his suffering from respiratory diseases and pneumonia.
They indicated that time passes without effective treatment commensurate with his disease, and without the minimum availability of a healthy and sound environment for treatment.
