Earthquake death toll in Turkey exceeds 45,000

Ankara, SANA-The number of the earthquake-victims, struck Turkey on February 6, has risen to 45,089 persons.

More than 11,000 aftershocks were recorded after the devastating double earthquake, in addition to more than 13 million people affected in the country; Anadolu News Agency quoted the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) as saying in a statement on Wednesday.

A previous toll pointed out to the death of 44,218 thousand people.
