Army on its way to tighten grip on terrorists in Aleppo after new advances

Aleppo, SANA – The army and armed forces made new advances in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria, and further expanded its control on more strategic points.

Aided by the popular defense groups, units of the army and armed forces established full control over al-Malah farms and the areas in the south and west of Handarat in the countryside.

SANA reporter quoted a military source, who was reached to talk about the new military success, as saying that a huge number of terrorists were eliminated in the course of the operations in the aforementioned areas.

With the new achievements, the army is heading toward tightening its grip on the strongholds of the terrorist organizations in the city of Aleppo and isolating eastern neighborhoods from the northern countryside that stretch into the Turkish territory, from which terrorists cross the border into Syria.

In the meantime, SANA reporter in Aleppo said the army’s advance has prompted tens of members of the terrorist organizations operating there, most prominently Jabhat al-Nusra, which receive direct support from the Turkish regime, to flee toward the northern countryside.

In further confirmation of the shattering effect of the new blow which the terrorist organizations were dealt in al-Malah and Handarat, their social media pages circulated reports acknowledging the killing of scores of their members and the fleeing of the remaining terrorists.

The pages even published names of some of the killed terrorists, including Youssef Ismael Hanoura, Ahmad Ismael, Mohammad Ismael, Abdul-Khaleq Deiri, Ahmad Hannoura and Mahmoud Abdel-Mune’m.

The army has been on a winning streak in Aleppo gaining more ground, the recent was three weeks ago when army units assumed control of al-Manasher and al-Maqla’ areas and the hills surrounding al-Uwaija.

The terrorists’ supply route between al-Jandoul and al-Uwaija that is adjacent to al-Kindi Hospital in the northern countryside was cut off by the army as well.

The advance made in al-Uwaija followed a series of successes, with the army gaining control over the villages and hills around Tallet al-Madafeh, Tallet Sifat, Handarat and Point of four-way intersection west of Sifat in the northern countryside on the 3rd of November.

Earlier on May 22, the army broke a months- long siege on the strategically situated Central Prison on the northeastern edge of Aleppo. Al-Naserriyeh village, al-Breij area also came under the army’s control.

In separate operations, army units also destroyed several of the terrorists’ vehicles and killed many of them in Handarat camp, al-Lairamoun, al-Uwaija, Hanano, Shqeif, B’eidin and al-Hader in the countryside.

Having got al-Malah farms, which directly overlook al-Kastello road, the terrorists’ last route to the northern countryside and further into the Turkish land, under its control, the army has established a tight noose round the terrorist hotbeds from which attacks were being launched against civilians in the city of Aleppo, with the eastern neighborhoods being mostly targeted.
