Moscow, SANA- Moscow condemned the two terrorist blasts that took place in Damascus on Wednesday which claimed the lives of tens of civilians, expressing condolences to the victims’ families.
” We condemn the terrorist massacre which is clearly dated at the convening of the 3rd international meeting on Syria in Astana, hoping quick recovery for the wounded,” Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It pointed out to the failure of the UN Security Council to condemn such terrorist explosions, calling for intensifying the international efforts to deal with the counter-terrorism issues in Syria and in any other countries.
Two terrorist attacks took place at the old Justice Palace building in Damascus city and in a restaurant on its outskirts, leaving casualties.
A number of civilians were killed and others were injured when two terrorist suicide bombers blew themselves with explosive belts up in the old Justice Palace building in al-Hamidiyeh area and one of the restaurants in al-Rabwah area in Damascus.
Tehran condemns the terrorist blasts
Meanwhile, Tehran also strongly condemned the terrorist blasts in Damascus, affirming that they were an attempt to underestimate the effect of terrorists’ defeats through the bloodshed of innocents.
“Whenever terrorists fail in the military or political fronts, they escalate their blind suicide attacks on civilians, Spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Bahram Qasimi said in a statement.
He expressed Iran’s solidarity with Syria, as government and people, and deep condolences to the families of victims.
