Prime Minister: Putting strategies, specifying work priorities to enhance industry in Aleppo

Aleppo, SANA- Prime Minister Imad Khamis said that it is very important to specify work priorities for the upcoming period and forming a unified team to put strategies and presenting vision to enhance and re-run the production circle in Aleppo city.

The government delegation continued on Tuesday its tours in Aleppo, inspecting a number of services and economic facilities, including the industrial city of al-Sheikh Najjar.

Khamis pointed out that the government gives special attention to the Industrial City of Sheikh Najjar due to its economic importance, adding that the government is serious in providing all the required support to increase production process in it.

In turn, Director of the Industrial City briefed members of the delegation on the number of producing factories and the exerted efforts to offer services and rebuild what been destroyed by terrorism.

Later, members of the delegation visited the Police Station and Abu Khalil al-Qabani School in Masakin Hanano where they joined the students in an educational activity and distributed school bags to the students.

In turn, Education Minister Hazwan al-Waz said that there are 503 damaged schools in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo, adding that the ministry reopened 8 schools in a number of those neighborhoods and put an emergency plan to repair 50 schools that will be ready to be opened in February.
The delegation also visited Aleppo International Airport, inspecting the rehabilitation works in it and the process of removing debris in al-Shaar neighborhood.

In the temporary housing center in Jibrin, the delegation met a number of displaced families, listening to their previous suffering due to terrorist acts and getting acquainted with the services provided to them in the center.

In a press statement, Premier Khamis said that the destruction volume in Aleppo is massive, but with intensified efforts, we will re-build it and the wheel of production will rerun in the industrial city, adding that the Aleppo International Airport will be ready for work soon.

He pointed out that the government will follow up the progress of work around the clock, adding that the allocated budget for the rehabilitation of infrastructure will be open in accordance with the priorities in order to serve the people of Aleppo and achieve the aspired-for development.

For his part, Public Works and Housing Minister Hussein Arnous said in a similar statement that construction companies are working since the first day of announcing Aleppo’s neighborhoods liberated from terrorism to remove the debris and open roads.

Later, Khamis and the accompanying delegation met a number of Islamic and Christian clergymen.

During the meeting, Khamis underlined the important role of the clergymen in spreading the spirit of amity and religious tolerance in society and creating awareness among citizens to face the Takfiri and hostile campaign which tries to target the Syrian people.
