Damascus, SANA – Prime Minister Imad Khamis met on Thursday Iran’s Ambassador in Damascus Mohammad Riza Shibani on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in Syria.
Khamis expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Iranian Ambassador during the part years in enhancing the relations between the two countries, hailing Iran’s support for the Syrian people within the one axis of resistance against terrorism.
In turn, Iranian Ambassador highlighted the deep Syrian-Iranian relations as they are based on serving the common interests of the two countries and keenness to promote cooperation in all sectors.
He also affirmed that the Iranian people and leadership will continue to stand by their counterparts in Syria to enhance the latter’s elements of steadfastness and achieve victory over terrorism.
