UN holds discussions with Russia, US to launch intra-Syrian talks

New York, SANA-UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon said on Wednesday that discussions are being held with the US and Russia to find a suitable time for launching the Syrian-Syrian dialogue in Geneva to solve the crisis in Syria.

 Ki-Moon, in a statement to reporters prior to the meetings of the UN General Assembly, pointed out to the importance of the peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria and the need for applying the US-Russian agreement, lately signed on September 9^th, to enhance the cessation of hostilities and guarantee the delivering of the humanitarian aid to people in need.

 He called on all sides concerned to “use their influence to reach a peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria.
