Damascus, SANA – Firas Bahlawan won the Republic Gymnastics Championship which wrapped up on Tuesday at al-Faihaa Sport City in Damascus with the participation of 9 teams.
In men’s competitions, Bahlawan, who represented al-Muhafaza Club, was followed by Ali Abbas from Tartous who won the second place, ahead of Milaz al-Hassan from Daraa who came third.
In youths’ competitions, Mohammad Khalil from al-Shorta Club was ranked first place, followed by his fellow club member Yimen Sulaiman. The third place went to Yazan Khatkiyeh from Lattakia.
In junior competitions, Hassan Qarheili from Lattakia won the first place, followed by Joud Shahadeh fron al-Jaish Club. Marseil Raya from Tartous came third.
In junior women’s competitions, Cyrine Ghanem from Tartous won the first place. The second place went to Leen Takriti and the third place to Areej Khayat, both from al-Shorta Club.
