Provinces, SANA – The Syrian army units, backed by air force, on Monday continued carrying out counter-terrorism operations against terrorist organizations across the country, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their arms, dens and vehicles.
Aleppo
A military source said that Army and Armed Forces units continued confronting the attacks of terrorist organizations on a number of military positions and civilian areas in Aleppo, establishing control over 33 blocks of buildings and a factory in al-Lairamuon area.
Deir Ezzor
Army units carried out military operations against ISIS terrorists, killing many of them, injuring others and destroying their fortified positions in al-Jafra and Hweijet Saqer villages in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor Province, a field source said.
In Deir Ezzor city, army units destroyed a den and a vehicle of the terrorists in al-Arfi and al-Jbeila neighborhoods.
Daraa
An army unit destroyed 3 positions for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists towards al-Yadouda town in the western countryside of Daraa province, a military source said.
An army unit carried out special operation against the gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists on al-Sad road in Daraa al-Balad area, destroying a rockets launcher pad in addition to killing and injuring a number of terrorists.
Hama
A military source told SANA that an Army and Armed Forces unit destroyed a car that was carrying terrorists on Athria-Khanaser road in Hama province.
The source also said that the Syrian Air Force launched airstrikes on the fortified positions of ISIS to the south and east of al-Mofakir village and Abu Hanaya village in the countryside of Salamyiah area in the eastern countryside of the province, destroying a number of ISIS sites and vehicles, some of which were equipped with machineguns.
Homs
The Syrian Air Force carried out a number of sorties targeting the gatherings and fortified positions of ISIS in the area surrounding al-Shaer and Jazal oil fields and Khneifis town in the eastern countryside of Homs province, according to a military source.
The source added that a number of sites and machinegun-equipped vehicles along with all the terrorists and munitions inside them were destroyed by the sorties.
