Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi on Sunday sent a cable of congratulation to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on the occasion of the Victory Day over Nazism.
In his cable, Premier al-Halaqi expressed, on behalf of the Syrian government, heartfelt congratulations to the Russian people on this great day in which the Russian people presented an example to follow by the whole world in facing the aggression and adhering to the identity and defending it.
Al-Halaqi expressed thanks of the Syrian government and people for the huge support provided by the Russian people and leadership in the face of the fierce attack launched against Syria.
He expressed confidence that the great victory will be achieved against terrorism and its supporters and that the cooperation and coordination between the two countries will contribute to enhancing and restoring security and peace to Syria and the whole world.
