Lattakia and Tartous ports reopened after weather conditions improved

Lattakia, SANA- Syrian sea ports at Lattakia and Tertous reopened on Monday after the weather conditions stabilized, the General Directorate of Ports of the Ministry of Transport said.

“After weather conditions had improved and the storm passed, all commercial ports in Syria opened to maritime traffic, while ports of Basit and fishing are under closure,” the director general of the port directorate, Ali Ahmad, told SANA.

The directorate announced Sunday that all the commercial, fishing ports were closed to shipping and fishing due to bad weather, wind speed, and high seas.
