Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed on Friday with his US counterpart John Kerry means of boosting the cessation of hostilities in Syria.
“Lavrov and Kerry, discussed in a phone call, ways of solving the crisis in Syria through keeping and boosting the cessation of hostilities and providing residents in need with humanitarian aids as well as realizing a permanent political process in the country,” Russia Today quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement.
The statement added that Lavrov asserted once again the need for engaging the Syrian Kurds in the intra-Syrian talks.
