De Mistura: The new round of Syrian-Syrian dialogue will be “fruitful and successful”

Geneva, SANA- UN special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said on Wednesday that the new round of Syrian-Syrian talks in Geneva will be “fruitful and successful as much as possible.”

“No accurate time yet fixed to start a direct dialogue among the delegations,” de Mistura said at a press conference following his meeting with “al-Riyadh opposition” delegation, adding “We will go deeply in the political transition process during this round of dialogue.”

De Mistura affirmed that he discussed with officials during his visits to Damascus, Moscow and Tehran the dialogue process in Geneva, clarifying that delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic will arrive on Friday to Geneva, headed by Bashar al-Jaafari.

“Cessation of hostilities agreement is still firm… the breaches remained on spate accidents, not comprehensive,” De Mistura said, considering that the important thing is containing these breaches and that the sides “affirm they are committed to the agreement.”
