Damascus Countryside, SANA – Mechanism to deliver aid and rehabilitate health centers in areas around Damascus city were discussed with Head of the mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Marian Ghaser.
The towns of Yalda, Babila and al-Moaddamiyeh were some of the targeted areas focused on during the meeting which brought Gaser together with Governor of Damascus Countryside Hussein Makhlouf on Saturday.
Makhlouf said the assistance and support provided by the ICRC and other international organizations are very important as they boost the efforts put by the government and the Higher Committee for Relief to help needy areas.
Gaser said it is necessary to keep up communication with all the parties concerned to ensure aid delivery to the beneficiaries in all targeted areas.
