Judicial sub-committees of parliamentary elections stop receiving objection requests

Provinces, SANA- The judicial sub-committees of the People’s Assembly elections in the provinces stopped on Thursday receiving objection requests to the decisions of candidacy committees.

Chief of the Higher Judicial Committee for Elections Hisham al-Shaar said in a statement to SANA that the sub-committees will begin on Friday to consider the objection requests and decide on them for three days before the lists of names of the accepted candidates will be announced.

In Damascus, chairman of the Judiciary sub-committee for elections Judge Advisor Irfan Adas said that the objection requests numbered 31, whereas in Damascus Countryside, chairman of the Judiciary sub-committee Advisor Suleiman Kerbaj pointed out that the number of objection requests reached 14.

In Sweida, chairman of the Judiciary sub-committee Judge Sami al-Shareeti said that the commission received five objection requests.

In Lattakia, chairman of the Judiciary sub-committee for elections judge Saleh Wahbeh said that the objection requests numbered 59.
