Terrorists flee en masse from Sheikh Miskeen in Daraa as Syrian Army advances

Provinces, SANA- Units of the Army and Armed Forces continued to advance inside the city of Sheikh Miskeen in Daraa province from different sides, reaching al-Dawwar (roundabout) and al-Masaken al-Askariya area, a military source told SANA, adding that the army’s engineering units are dismantling IEDs left behind by terrorists in the northern and eastern parts of the city which they fled.

The source confirmed that terrorist organizations started moving their operations’ center from the city to the city of Nawa, after the heavy losses inflicted upon their ranks in army operations during the last two days, and that the terrorists are fleeing en masse from Sheikh Miskeen after a number of their leaders were killed, while the army cut off all supply routes for terrorist organizations.

Sources on the ground told SANA that an army unit killed and injured terrorists who were holed up in a hideout in the roundabout area, and destroyed mortar launchers in the eastern part of the city along with two other vehicles on the road between the city and Ibta’a, leaving the 8 terrorists inside them dead or injured.

Earlier Tuesday, Army units established control over Tal al-Hash and the 82nd brigade camp in the vicinity of Sheikh Miskeen town, 22 km north of Daraa city, and inflicted heavy losses upon terrorist organizations in personnel and equipment.

Terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the killing of the so-called “commander of Liwa Jund al-Rahman” terrorist Youssef Abdullah al-Ammar, and another commander nicknamed Abu al-Majed in addition to terrorists Alaa Yaqoub Hajij, Kamal Abdel-Fattah al-Khasawineh, Hafez Mohammad Hussein Subat, Milad Ahmad Subat, Bashar Mohammad Abdel-Majid al-Oklah, Ahmad Adnan Abdel-Raouf al-Halaqi and Mohammad Izzat al-Hariri.

Meanwhile, local sources affirmed the killing of head of Jabhat al-Nusra operations in Sheikh Miskeen city terrorist Abu Mohammad Hafez in addition to the field leader of the so-called Liwa al-Muhajirin and al-Ansar terrorist Abu Mohammad al-Qinyawi.

Later, an army unit destroyed 12 vehicles, some equipped with machineguns, for terrorist organizations on tye Ibtaa-Dael road in the countryside of Daraa southern province, while another unit destroyed a small artillery piece mounted on a vehicle in Bosra al-Cham.

An army unit destroyed Wednesday a rocket-launcher for terrorist organizations and killed its crew in al-Herak town, in addition to eliminating gatherings of terrorists east of Sheikh Hossein hill near the administrative borders with Swieda province.

In Daraa city, army units targeted Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists west of the old customs building and in the southern part of al-Menshiye neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad area, destroying their hideouts and hotbeds along with the terrorists, weapons, and munitions inside them.

Sweida

An army unit targeted with concentrated strikes ISIS’ gatherings and movements in Shaaf village to the southeast of Sweida city.

A number of vehicles and tankers used by ISIS were destroyed along with all terrorists on board.

Hama

The Syrian Air Force destroyed ISIS positions and vehicles in Jena al-Elbawi and Jeb al-Rayan in the countryside of Hama province.

Deir Ezzor

The Syrian Air Force launched airstrikes against ISIS’ gatherings and fortified positions in al-Jafra village to the southeast of Deir Ezzor, destroying their positions and vehicles with all terrorists inside them.

Also, many ISIS members were killed and their vehicles were destroyed by airstrikes in al-Mere’iya village.

Homs

The army air force destroyed fortifications and hideouts affiliated to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the areas of Abu Haris, Onq al-Hawa and Jub al-Jarrah in the countryside of the central Homs province.

A military source told SANA Wednesday that the army destroyed ISIS vehicles, some equipped with machineguns, with all terrorists inside them after targeting their movement axes on Hawarin-al-Qarayatain road in the southeastern countryside of the province.

Later, a military source said that army units established control over eastern and western al-Taheen hills southeast of Mahseh in the eastern countryside of Homs, cutting off the most vital supply line for ISIS terrorist organization in the direction of al-Qariyatain city.

Idleb

Leader in Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization killed

A military source said that the so-called “emir” (prince) of Jabhat al-Nusra terror organization in Idleb countryside Hossein al-Aswad was killed along with 13 other terrorists, and that a number of machinegun-equipped and armored vehicles and one base for “Ahrar al-Sham Movement” terrorists were destroyed هn al-Naqir, al-Habeet and Khan al-Subul in Idleb southern countryside.
