Moscow, SANA- The Russian Authorities thwarted on Sunday a terrorist attack in Moscow and arrested a group of persons who were involved in preparing for it.
A spokesman for the National Anti-terrorist Committee told TASS News Agency that the security officers had detained a group of persons suspected of involvement in the preparation of a terrorist attack in Moscow in an apartment in one of the western neighborhoods in Moscow.
An explosive device was found and rendered harmless in the apartment where a group of suspects were detained, the Spokesman added.
On October 6th, Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko asserted that the Russian Security Services have taken the necessary measures to protect the civilians in Russia, including the possible terrorist attacks during the Russian air operation against terrorist organizations in Syria.
