Damascus Countryside, SANA – The participants in the International Conference for Youths discussed during Tuesday’s sessions many topics revolving around media and terrorism.
The main titles under which discussions took place were “the role of media in fighting terrorist ideology”, “media between professionalism and subordination”, “disinformation in the Arab region” and “the Arab world and the terrorists’ targeting of the Syrian media”.
Vira Yamin, member of the politburo of the Lebanese al- Marada Party highlighted the importance of developing effective mechanisms to combat the Takfiri ideology and launching satellite channels “to free the Arab minds from the control of the subversive ideas aimed at creating discord among the people of a society.”
She called upon the youths and university students to make a breakthrough in the tendentious media through conveying the facts to refute the lies of the hostile media and reach out to the world public opinion.
200 students and journalists from several Arab and foreign countries are taking part in the activities of the International Conference for Youths, which kicked off on Sunday.
