Damascus, SANA- Activities of the 5th “Jasmine Fragrance” carnival started in Damascus Citadel on Wednesday. The event is organized by Nosoor Souria (Syria’s Eagles) Group with the participation of Culture and Tourism ministries and the Martyr’s Mother Group.
The 3-day carnival features a charity bazaar, an art exhibition, a national concert and distribution of gifts to sons of the Army’s martyrs.
“Relatives of Syrian Arab Army’s martyrs from all Syrian provinces are participating in this carnival to prove to the entire world the determination of Syrians and their commitment to the values of life,” Assistant Minister of Tourism Rida Ziada said.
For his part, Amer Abu Hamid, Director of Nosoor Souria Group, pointed out that the carnival will include a photo exhibition about Damascus and its history, adding that the carnival will honor some Syrian actors who left their mark in Syria.
Mother of Martyr Wael al-Assi from Aleppo said that she participated in the event with a big Syrian flag of her own making, adding that all Syrian mothers are united in their love for their country.
