Putin on Great Patriotic War Day: World is witnessing a flagrant violation of the basic principle

Moscow, SANA President Vladimir Putin of Russia said that the world is witnessing a flagrant violation of the basic principles for which the humanity has offered sacrifices, and attempts to build a global uni-polar system which might undermine the world’s stability.

President Putin, at a military parade in Moscow on the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s Victory over Nazi Germany during the World War II, added that the values of the victory consolidated the bases of the global system following the War as the UN was established and a new system of the international law was founded.RUSSIA-WWII-ANNIVERSARY-HISTORY-DEFENCE

Earlier on Saturday, the great military parade on the 70th anniversary of Victory Day or (9 May) which marks the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in the Second World War, also known as (the Great Patriotic War), kicked off on Saturday at the Red Square in Moscow and 26 other Russian cities with participation of 85,000 military personnel.

About 16,000 military personnel, 190 hardware and 150 warplanes and helicopters will participate in the military parade in Moscow, in the presence of more than 30 state’s leaders and representatives.

Various kinds of military hardware participated in the parade in Moscow.

About 10,000 soldiers and scores of vehicles, military equipment, warplanes and helicopters in addition to ships of the Russian fleet in the Pacific Ocean took part in the military parade which was started at dawn on Saturday from the eastern cities of Russia.

The Victory Day or 9 May marks the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War. The victory, which ended what is known as the Nazism and Fascism phenomena which tried to impose their hegemony over the world during the forties of the last century, aims to commemorate the 28,000,000 children, parents, spouses and friends killed in Soviet Union during the World War II.
