Syria and Algeria discuss mechanisms of implementing joint judicial agreements

Damascus, SANA – Justice Minister Najm Hamad al-Ahmad discussed Thursday with the Algerian Ambassador in Damascus Saleh Bosha cooperation relations in judicial work and the mechanisms of enforcing joint judicial agreements.

The minister affirmed the importance of coming up with new ideas and proposals to strengthen cooperation relations between both countries and avoid any difficulties or challenges that might disturb the historical and fraternal relations.

Al-Ahmad said that both sides are seeking to find a twinning mechanism between justice ministries and the higher judicial councils in both countries, knowing that judicial systems in both of countries are completely identical in terms of composition,
specializations, the distribution of courts and the legal and legislative environment.

For his part, Bosha asserted on the importance of enhancing communications and strengthening cooperation between Syria and Algeria in all sectors, describing cooperation relations between both countries as ‘strategic and principled.’

Syria and Algeria have signed cooperation agreements in all sectors, three of them in the field of judicial work.
