Syria honors Ambassador of Pakistan

Damascus, SANA-Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad awarded on Monday Ambassador of Pakistan in Damascus Wahid Ahmad the Syrian Order of Merit, of an excellent degree for the efforts her exerted to develop relations between Pakistan and Syria.

Foreign and Expatriates Ministry held a farewell ceremony to honor Mr. Ahmad who ended his mission as an ambassador of his country to Syria.

“The Pakistani Ambassador’s continued mission in Syria along with his family and other ambassadors indicate their full certainty that Syria is safe,” Mikdad said, affirming that Ambassador Ahmad was a friend of Syria.

For his part, Ambassador of Pakistan appreciated cooperation and efforts exerted by Syria to overcome difficulties which faced his mission, saying “Syria and Pakistan confront joint  problems and dangers.”

He was confident both countries will come out of the crisis victorious.
