Health Ministry offers over 35,000 medical services to comers from Lebanon to Syria

Damascus, SANA- The number of free medical services provided to the comers from Lebanon to Syria fleeing Israeli aggression against several Lebanese areas has exceeded 35,000, with approximately 21,000 people benefiting over 19 days.

The Syrian Ministry of Health reported that the services provided at border crossings in Damascus-Countryside, Tartous and Homs amounted to 20,279, while 14,325 care services were offered in housing centers and 358 cases were treated in hospitals.

The ministry pointed out that the medical care included general medical services, surgery and emergency operations, mental health services, reproductive health and services related to people with chronic diseases, in addition to necessary vaccinations for children and tetanus for women of reproductive age.

As part of the response plan to provide services to the comers from Lebanon to Syria, the Ministry has put all public hospitals in the border governorates with Lebanon on full readiness to receive cases and supply the crossings with equipped ambulances around the clock, in addition to doctors.
