Damascus, SANA- Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad stressed the need for the United Nations to expose Israeli occupation violations and repeated attacks on the Syrian territory, as well to intervene to put an end to its practices against our people in the occupied Syrian Golan.

That came during a meeting between Mikdad and Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix and the accompanying delegation on Monday.

Mikdad underlined that Syria will continue to cooperate and provide the necessary facilitations to the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the occupied Syrian Golan.

The minister stressed Syria’s legitimate right to recover the occupied Golan, denouncing the heinous crime committed by the occupation forces on Saturday in Majdal Shams town.

In turn, Lacroix hailed the facilitations provided by the Syrian government, referring to the role of the UN peacekeeping operations in enhancing international peace and security.
