Washington, SANA – U.S. President Joe Biden ,who is 81, is facing pressure from congressional Democrats and some influential donors as they are concerned that Biden lacks the capacity to defeat Republican Donald Trump, 78, in the Nov. 5 election.
Biden in an interview with American ABC News gave no hint that he was considering stepping aside amid increasing calls from fellow Democrats to end his campaign for re-election
NBC News reported that House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries scheduled a virtual meeting with senior House Democrats to discuss Biden’s candidacy and the path forward.
House Democratic sources have said that Some Democratic House lawmakers are circulating two separate letters calling for Biden to step aside.
