The body of late artist Bassam Lutfi escorted to his final resting place

Damascus, SANA- The body of the great artist Bassam Lutfi was escorted to his final resting place from al-Assad University Hospital to Lala Pasha Mosque into al-Dahdah cemetery in Damascus.

A number of artists expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of one of the pillars of the Syrian drama, which had an important role in the corridors of artistic life.

“We bid farewell to one of the pillars of drama and the founders of the Artists Syndicate, Bassam Lutfi, who was distinguished for his dedication and humane treatment” Chairman of the Syrian Artists Syndicate, Mohsen Ghazi, said in a statement to SANA.
