General Sports Federation honors Syrian team for special sports

Damascus, SANA- The General Sports Federation honored the delegation of the Syrian team for special sports, including our heroic wounded who gain brilliant medals in the West Asian Paralympic Championship, which concluded recently in the Bahraini capital, Manama.

Deputy Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Mahmoud al-Shawwa and chairman of the Joint Committee of (Jareeh al-Watan) project, explained that the results achieved by our wounded in the tournament are the best evidence of the extent of ambition and enthusiasm they possess, pointing out that the work plan for the next stage is to continue discovering the talents of the wounded to be joined the distinguished ones to the Syrian team for special sports.

For his part, the head of the General Sports Federation, Firas Mualla indicated that the team will participate in the Asian Games next September and the Federation will secure indoor and outdoor camps to prepare for the upcoming tournaments.

He added that at the same time the Federation will provide financial support to all the crowned champions.
