Damascus, SANA – The General Establishment for Television and Radio Production launched Saturday its website to provide news and information about drama series, TV and radio programs and documentaries produced by the establishment.
Information posted on the website provides insight into personal and professional biographies of directors, actors, actresses, writers, music composers and other artistic staff.
The website visitors will also be provided with all updates and news coverage of artistic events and awards organized by the establishment.
Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi attended the inauguration of the website, and he spoke of the important role the establishment plays in terms of bringing daily life issues and concerns of people in the spot through its various productions.
The Minister delivered a speech at the end of a ceremony to hand training course certificates to participants in a workshop on TV scenario writing.
The workshop, which took place between November 1-16, 2014, was the first to be held in Syria. It aimed at guiding and encouraging TV scenarists within an effort to “rescue the Syrian TV drama” after a slight deterioration was
witnessed over the past years from a Arab-and regionally-acclaimed remarkable success.
Al-Zoubi promised the Ministry’s full support to the artistic productions made or sponsored by the establishment through allowing them to be broadcast on the Syrian TV channels.
