Vienna, SANA_ Cardinal Christoph Schonborn of Austria called for praying to prevail peace in Syria and the return of stability to its territory.
During an interview on the occasion of Christmas, published by the Vienna Diocese website of the Catholic Church on Monday, Schonborn commented on his visit to Syria last October by saying that “peace for Syria is one of my most important prayers and I live with it in my daily life,” noting that the unilateral coercive measures
imposed on the Syrian people affect him directly.
Schonborn added that Syria’s relationship with many countries, particularly, in the neighboring ones, has gradually flourished, and ” I hoped that such steps would be followed by larger steps.
