Homs, SANA- al- Buwaydah al-Sharqiyah town in al-Qusair area in Homs southwestern countryside has witnessed great efforts to gradually restore services and infrastructure, particularly with increasing return of people to it, who were displaced by terrorism and destroyed their homes and infrastructure.
The locals of al-Buwayda al-Sharqiyah told SANA reporter that the level of service in the town has gradually improved, despite the great destruction caused by terrorism.
They added that in line with increase of return of the people due to the noticeable improvement in the service situation, the restoration operations of the homes have increased, as the main road which connects the town to the neighboring villages has been paved, and the water secured, asserting that they are waiting for electricity to be rehabilitated.
The educational process started in the town at the beginning of the last academic year, thanks to the people’s initiative to restore and rehabilitate martyr Ahmad Bakkar school in the town, the locals affirmed, pointing out that the number of students reached 100 students, and with the increase in returnees, the number has reached 175 students.
Mayor of the municipality of al-Buwayda al-Sharqiyah Mohammad al-Mohammad, stressed that the town had been exposed to various forms of terrorism and destruction before it was liberated by the Syrian Arab Army, noting that the number of families that has returned up till now exceeded 100.
Al-Buwayda al-Sharqiyah is located about 20 km southwest of Homs city and about 15 km north of al-Qusair city. Its people were completely displaced due to the terrorist groups, and most of its homes were destroyed.
