About 175 thousand students start taking second term exams at Damascus University  

Damascus, SANA – The second semester exams started on Sunday morning at Damascus university for the academic year 2020/2021 and will continue for about a month.

Rector of Damascus University, Dr. Mohammad Yasar Abdeen, told SANA that about 175 thousand students will take the exams.

Abdeen affirmed the university’s keenness to apply preventative measures to confront the novel coronavirus during the examination period in order to preserve the safety of everyone inside the university, within the framework of the instructions of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry.

He pointed out that the faculties of the university have completed their preparations to receive students by preparing the exam programs and schedules, distributing invigilators to the exam halls, in addition to preparing halls and auditoriums with the necessary requirements, with an emphasis on hygiene, conducting sterilization operations, and achieving spatial distancing inside the exam halls and during the entry and exit of students.
