Anti-polio vaccination campaign begins in hard-to-reach areas in Homs

Homs, SANA_ Five-day anti-polio vaccination campaign was launched in Homs on Sunday in the hard-to-reach areas which have not been fully covered in previous campaigns.

Between 12,000 and 15,000 under five years children will be given the vaccines.

In a statement to SANA, Head of Health Care Department at Homs Health Directorate Dr. Abdul Mo’men Qashlaq said that the campaign covers the areas of Palmyra and its countryside, al-Rastan and its suburbs, al- Mukharam and its surrounding in addition to al-Hola area.

Qashlaq added that the vaccines will be given at health centers and through 24 mobile medical clinics and teams.
