Hasaka, SANA- The General Water Establishment in Hasaka Province has continued to fill the water tanks which spread across Hasaka City through tankers in order to secure water for citizens till the completion of water pumping from Alouk station to all the locals in the city and its neighborhoods.
The Establishment’s Director-General, Eng. Mahmoud al-Okleh, in a statement to SANA reporter, said that the processes of securing water to the citizens through special tankers in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) are ongoing after re-operating Alouk water station and starting to pump water on Sunday evening to a number of the city’s neighborhoods till completing the process of pumping water so as to reach all the locals and this needs four additional days.
Eng. al-Okleh pointed out that pumping water from Alouk station is currently stable, as yesterday the western neighborhoods of al-Nashwa, Sharia, and the youth housing compound were fed with water, and today water will be pumped to the eastern and western neighborhoods of Ghwairan and the southern residential compounds.
It is noteworthy that the Establishment yesterday operated all the wells at Alouk project, whose number is 21 wells, in addition to 4 horizontal pumps, after stopping the operation of the station for a week by the Turkish occupation forces.
