Quneitra, SANA- Quneitra Agriculture Directorate has estimated the production of olive crop for the current season to reach at about 10 thusand tons.
In a statement to SANA reporter, director of Agricultural Department Eng. Hussein Sallan said that the total cultivated area with olives of irrigated and rainfed kinds amounted to 5,036 hectares.
Sallan noted that the cultivation of olives is widespread in the province countryside in light of its importance for food and its economic feasibility.
Quneitra production of olives crop reached to more than 8 tons in the previous season.
