Cairo, SANA – Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, reiterated Egypt’s stance on the necessity of solving the crisis in Syria politically which is based on respect for its sovereignty and preserving its territorial integrity.
Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ahmad Hafez, said in a statement that Shoukry discussed on Thursday with UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, means of pushing the political settlement of the crisis in Syria forwards.
He reviewed Egypt ‘s efforts in that regard, based on its firm stance about the need for finding a political solution to the crisis according to UN resolution no .2254.
