Damascus, SANA-Despite difficulties that were imposed by the terrorist war and unilateral coercive measures on Syria, Health Ministry continued to implement the national program to vaccinate children through its health centers in various governorates in addition to National vaccination campaigns for polio vaccination and national vaccination days that target children who didn’t take vaccination from a day up to 5 years old.
To stand for the national vaccination days that started on June 14th and lasts until June 18th , SANA camera visited a number of Health centers in Eastern Ghouta, Damascus countryside, and monitored the implementation of the national vaccination days in the area, where Head of the Child and Vaccine Program at Damascus Countryside Health Directorate Dr.Muhammad Akram Matooq said that “the days of vaccination target about / 17700 / children who didn’t take the vaccines , pointing out that the routine vaccines included in the national vaccination program are11 vaccine .
Dr. Maatouk indicated that the aim of launching the national vaccination days is to protect children from dangerous diseases and raise their immunity as the vaccine is provided through Health ministry despite the difficulties according to high levels.
