Parliament speaker, Algeria’s NLF party chief discuss situation in Syria

Algiers, SANA-Speaker of the People’s Assembly Mohammad Jihad al-Laham discussed with Secretary General of the Algerian National Liberation Front party (FLN), Ammar Saidani the situation in Syria and the global war waged by terrorist organizations which implement foreign agendas.

Al-Laham is in Algeria on a four-day visit for talks on bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Laham pointed to a “shared history” between al-Baath Arab Socialist Party and the FLN, which is Algeria’s ruling party, extending an invitation for his chief to visit Syria.

For his part, Saidani affirmed that the Algerian people are “fully aware of the nature of conspiracy that targets Syria”, stressing his confidence in Syria’s ability to overcome the crisis.

In a relevant context, al-Laham met members of the Syrian community in Algeria, briefing them on the situation in Syria and the achievements of the Syrian army in the war it carries on against the takfiri terrorism, funded and armed by regional countries like Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Members of the Syrian community affirmed that they support their motherland against the terrorists, saying that Syria is capable of getting out of the crisis victorious.
