Qasad militias continue to detain youths in al-Jazeera area to forcibly recruit them

Hasaka/Raqqa, SANA – The US-backed separatist Qasad (SDF) militias detained during the past few hours a number of youths in various areas as part of their “mandatory recruitment” campaigns in al-Jazeera area in Syria.

Local sources said Qasad patrols raided the town of Tal Abyad in Raqqa countryside, detaining three youths and taking them to an unknown destination.

Another group of Qasad members armed with light and medium weapons raided and searched a number of houses in Ain Issa and Salouk towns in Raqqa’s northern countryside under the pretext of searching for “wanted” persons.

In Hasaka countryside, Qasad militias detained 21 youths, including 2 in Hasaka city and 11 in al-Shadadi town south of Hasaka, to forcibly recruit them.

Meanwhile in Deir Ezzor’s southeastern countryside, Qasad militias destroyed a number of boats and ferries at the bank of the Euphrates river near the town of al-Basira.

On a relevant note, a member of Qasad was killed and two others were injured when an IED exploded while a car transporting them was passing near al-Haisha village in Raqqa’s northern countryside, while a Qasad checkpoint near Badr farm in the eastern countryside was targeted by hand grenades.
