Moscow, SANA – The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Washington’s attempts to sabotage Damascus International Fair contradict the international community’s resolutions on Syria.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry said that the United States’ blatant attempts to undermine the Syrian leadership’s reconstruction efforts are harmful to Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and they contradict the text and spirit of the international community’s resolutions on Syria, including Security Council resolution no. 2254.
The statement said that since August 22nd, the website of the US Embassy in Syria has been showing repeated calls to not attend Damascus International Fair, threatening sanctions by the US Department of the Treasury.
