Sweida, SANA – The police in Sweida arrested members of an armed gang that had robbed a money-transport vehicle for the Real Estate Bank in Sweida on July 28th, stealing SYP 35 million.
The Interior Ministry said that following investigations into the robbery, a suspect was apprehended and after interrogating him, he confessed to taking part in the robbery with four others.
The police arrested two of the other gang members, recovering SYP 18,947,00 from the stolen cash, which were returned to the bank.
The Ministry said that investigations are underway to find the remaining gang members and recover the rest of the stolen money.
