Syria, Bulgaria discuss means to activate economic cooperation

Damascus, SANA- The Board of Directors of Damascus Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday discussed with a delegation from the Bulgarian-Syrian Chamber of Commerce, currently visiting Syria, means to activate economic cooperation  between the two countries.

Chairman of Damascus Chamber of Commerce Mohammad Ghassan al-Qallaa underlined the importance of activating trade and economic relations and expanding Bulgaria’s participation in the Damascus International Fair.

Al-Qallaa called upon businessmen in both countries to sign trade and economic contracts and bargains between businessmen from both countries, in addition to developing the Syrian-Bulgarian companies working in the domain of dairy products, and benefiting from the Bulgarian experience.

For his part, Head of the Bulgarian-Syrian Chamber of Commerce affirmed the importance of establishing a joint Syrian-Bulgarian Business Council with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the Syrian and Bulgarian companies and to benefit from the available trade and investment opportunities.

The council will also facilitate the exchange of information and mutual visits, in addition to developing the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
