Moscow: White Helmets are Jabhat al-Nusra’s branch

Moscow, SANA- Russia reaffirmed that the so-called “White Helmets” organization is a branch of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization, warning of its attempts to make new provocations in Syria.

In a statement published on its Website on Friday, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it has received information that this fake organization which was established with the support of Western intelligences, is making the last attempts to declare its presence in Syria and this time in the de-escalation zone in Idleb.

The statement indicated that a group of the members of the organization last month arrived in Ezaz, Mari’a and al-Ra’ai in Aleppo province with the aim of preparing new provocations.

It indicated that containers loaded with toxic substances believed to be chlorine were transported to the aforementioned towns earlier.

“It is no secret that the White Helmets organization hasn’t avoided to make contacts with terrorists and extremists, and there are many testimonies which affirm that it represents a practical branch of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization blacklisted by the United Nations Security Council,” the Ministry added.

The statement continued “It is noteworthy in this context, that members of this organization had chosen to flee abroad after the Syrian Arab Army liberated areas in southern Syria.”

Concluding its statement, the Ministry expressed conviction that all will see “the true face of the White Helmets sooner or later.”

It called upon their foreign sponsors to understand the true situation and to stop “protecting those who are in reality only provokers and extremists.”
