Provinces, SANA – Army units inflicted direct hits upon dens and gatherings of terrorists on Wednesday in the framework of continued operations to flush out the terrorists in various areas across the country, leaving many of the terrorists dead and wounded.
Units of the armed forces targeted two dens inside which terrorists were meeting in Jassem town in the countryside of the southern province of Daraa.
A military source told SANA that one of the dens was located inside Jassem town, while the other was in a farm to the south of the town, stressing that scores of terrorists were killed and others were wounded in the operations, with Yusuf Ibrahim, leader of the so-called “Nasser Salah Eddin Brigade”, identified among the dead.
The source added that other army units targeted numbers of terrorists to the south of al-Sekak buildings and to the south of Atman town and on the crossroads of Atman-Tafas –al-Yadouda.
A number of motorcycles which terrorists were riding on the dirt road to the west of Atman town in the countryside were also destroyed.
Dens and gatherings of terrorists were also targeted in the areas of Enkhil, Bosra al-Sham, Ma’raba and Nawa in the countryside where large numbers of terrorists were killed and others were injured, in addition to destroying two vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns.
Among the killed terrorists were Mohammad Jamal al-Oqla, Yehya Hafez al-Naser, Ibrahim Bakr al-Naser, Nawwaf Ahmad al-Mutlaq, Yasser Dayyoub al-Jabbawi and Khled Rashdan.
Units of the armed forces also targeted gatherings of terrorists in Daraa al-Balad in the city of Daraa, killing many of the terrorists, some of whom were linked to the so-called “al-Muthana Battalion” and “Ahrar al-Sham Brigade”, with field commander nicknamed “al-Shishani” was identified among the dead.
In the countryside of the central province of Homs, army units killed scores of terrorists and destroyed their equipment after targeting their dens and gatherings in the village of Abu Hadid in the eastern countryside and on the street of Sareko in al-Rastan.
A car transporting terrorists was destroyed near the railway in al-Rastan.
A military source said army units thwarted an attempt by terrorists to sneak from al-Sa’n area to al-Mesherfeh village in the direction of Talbiseh in Homs countryside, killing many of them and wounding others.
