Update-Six civilians kidnapped by terrorist groups in Sweida liberated

Sweida, SANA- After efforts exerted by the authorities concerned, a batch of women and children kidnapped by Daesh (ISIS) terrorists from al-Shabki village in Sweida eastern countryside since July 25th was liberated.

Sweida Governor Amer al-Ashi said in a statement upon receiving the liberated abductees at the Governorate’s building “upon directives of President Bashar al-Assad on hunting down terrorist organizations, our armed forces and the affiliated security apparatus tracked the remnants of terrorists in the depth of Sweida eastern Badyia.”

“A lot of terrorists were killed during a military operation that lasted for more than 83 days while a number of the personnel of our heroic army were martyred or injured,” al-Ashi added.

He indicated that due to the tight siege imposed on terrorist organizations by the Syrian armed forces and through the efforts exerted by the authorities concerned, six of the kidnapped people were liberated on Saturday including two women and four children out of the 29 abductees, adding that the other abductees will be liberated soon.

SANA reporter in Sweida said that the liberated children are Ya’arub Jba’ai, Mulham Jiba’ai, Ghaida Jba’ai and Amwaj Jba’ai, in addition to two women Abeer Shaglin and Rasmyia Abu Ammar.

A number of the abductees expressed thanks to whoever participated in liberating them and ending their suffering to be able to return to their relatives, families and normal life, and they thanked the Syrian Arab Army for it sacrifices.

In a statement to SANA, the two liberated women Rasmyia Abu Ammar and Abeer Shaglin and her daughter Ghaida al-Jba’ai talked about the harsh circumstances which they went through while they were kidnapped and their suffering of illness, hunger and the terrible weather in the desert.

They thanked President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian Arab Army for working on liberating them, expressing hope that the other abductees will be liberated soon.

For his part, Zoukan Abu Ammar, husband of Rasmyia Abu Ammar, expressed happiness over the return of the abductees, thanking President al-Assad and the Syrian Arab Army and whoever participated in liberating the abductees.

Meanwhile, Abdul-Salam Jiba’ai, one of the relatives of Abeer Shaglin expressed thanks to President al-Assad and to the Syrian Arab Army and its heroism and sacrifices  which contributed to liberating the abductees.

On July 25th a number of villages in the eastern and northern countryside of Sweida Province were attacked by terrorist organizations in parallel with a suicide bombing in Sweida City that claimed the lives of a number of people and a number of civilians were kidnapped from the village of al-Shabki, mostly women and children.
