Damascus, SANA- Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Damascus Alexander Kinshchak said that Syria will win in the war launched against it thanks to the steadfastness of its people, the heroism of its army and the wisdom of its leadership.
In a speech during a reception held by the Russian Embassy in Damascus on Wednesday evening on occasion of the 28th National Day, Kinshchak added that his country will continue to support Syria in its war against terrorism.
“ Russia has always cooperated with its ally Syria in confronting the challenges and the different conspiracies and that the two countries are standing in the same trench in the joint honorable battle against extremism, violence and terrorism, “ the Ambassador said.
The Russian diplomat underlined the role of the reconciliations in restoring security and stability to Syria in a way that would open the door for the reconstruction and more economic cooperation which comes in the best interests of the two countries in all domains.
He referred to the achievements and victories made by the Syrian Arab army backed by the allied and supporting forces.
In a statement to journalists, Presidential Political and Media Adviser Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban underlined the deep rootedness of the historic relations and the partnership binding the two countries.
Shaaban indicated that these relations are based on the friendship and trust between the governments and Presidents of the two countries.
She pointed out to the cooperation between the two countries for the right and sovereignty of the states and for combating terrorism and standing in the face of all the attempts of hegemony and aggression.
In this context, Shaaban hailed the stances of Russia’s support to Syria in its war against terrorism.
In a similar statement, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad said that the cooperation between Syria and Russia in combating terrorism has gained the respect of all the nations of the world.
Mikdad added that the relations binding the two countries are deep rooted, indicating that the cooperation between the two states is solid in all the political, cultural and economic domains.
He added that the Syrian-Russian relations have been built on the basis of the UN Charter in a way that would preserve the sovereignty of the states and their independence.
