Syria wins first place at SUMO Robotics Competition in Beirut

Damascus, SANA-The team of the Syrian Computer Society of Lattakia gained the first place at SUMO Robotics Competition which was held in Beirut.

The Competition was held at the Faculty of Science at the Lebanese University in Beirut last Saturday with the participation of 150 teams, 9 of them are Syrians.

The winner team included Ali Hamdan, Karam Qassem and Ali Qengrawy under the supervision and training of the engineers Ali Jeneidi and Tamim Bobo.

In the category of university projects in Robotics in Service of Municipalities competition, the second place was also won by the Syrian team of the Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology.

The national and regional robotics competitions are based on the implementation of technological projects that express creative practical and industrial ideas to help solve many problems, especially the problems faced by municipalities.
